Green Revolution in Conneticut

RIdgefield --they got spinning rooms generating baby!
A group of around 20 bikes used throughout a year has the potential to create 3,600 kilowatt hours of electricity, according to Green Revolution founder and CEO Jay Whelan. That, he says, equates to lighting 72 homes for a month.

these retirees are proud that they are not only getting exercise to maintain their health - they are also generating around 180 watts of power per hour, saved to a row of batteries that are later dropped off to low-income local residents to run TVs and other electric devices. It’s senior power at its best.
Outdoor gyms and now outdoor exercise equipment where people of all ages can freely participate in light exercise are becoming common in China. The Chinese government has installed 3.4 million square meters of public equipment in the last decade. Dong Gao Di is the first suburb to link the outdoor gym to batteries which are then loaned free of charge to low-income families for use on electric appliances.
A fully charged battery can power the TV for between 10 - 11 hours. The elderly and retired people which form a large part of Beijing’s population and intensely use local parks and open spaces get to use the bikes for free, and in the video they are proud to be staying in shape and generating useful electricity for others.”

lot of you have asked how my stationary bike that generates power works! It’s really a very simple 12 volt DC system. My special trick is that I have it plugged into my battery bank. This allows me to store the energy I produce. I then use my power inverter to convert the 12 volt DC from the battery into 120 volt AC to power my toaster. (See below for information about the system I use which is made by iZip.)

a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based startup called ReRev.com to implement a "grid-tie" system. Instead of using a battery-based system, ReRev.com's approach is to retrofit elliptical machines to harvest energy from the machines and send the electricity directly back into the electrical panel.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- Last week, the campus recreation center at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, received Leadership in Energy Efficiency and Design (LEED) gold certification status from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Just recently I received an extra $250 in my paycheck, because my application for my health club reimbursement finally came through. So i got this book--The successful Business Plan--secrets and strategies by Rhonda Abrams--see the planningshop.com, and i finally get exactly how OPL applies to us and five pounds of stress are off my shoulder. I am gonna create a OPL google doc tomorrow and write the sections up so we can go to town!
